An invitation from the Chairman
Australia is a recognised leader in aged care. That reputation is largely due to the ongoing commitment of the people working in the industry and caring for our older Australians.
The Better Practice events provide a forum for you to share your knowledge and experiences with others. Last year the events attracted a broad range of delegates – DONs, CEOs, nurses, Board members and carers, all keen to make a difference to the lives of those in their care.
Last year we were overwhelmed by the response to the 2004 Better Practice events – 96% of delegates thought it was a worthwhile event and intent to register again this year. And around 90% of participants have gone back to their workplaces and implemented new ideas. This all means a better quality of life for residents.
This year's program promises to generate many interesting, diverse and innovative examples of better practice. I commend the program to you as a good investment of your time to improve the quality of life for older Australians.
